DASL (Student Information) Update
Do you have someone who missed the DASL House Bill 410 trainings? Or do you have users that are still struggling with reports or the new absence intervention screens? The student services team is offering one last DASL House Bill 410 official training on March 7th at 10:00 AM. To sign up click here!

In addition, if you attended one of our past trainings you may have set up the Attendance Skipped Students report for automatic email delivery. With the recent changes in the Attendance Skipped Students report where most of the errors have now moved to the Attendance Process Warnings report, users may want to think about ensuring they have the Attendance Process Warnings report set up for automatic delivery. If you need step by step instructions on how to setup Ad Hoc reports for automatic delivery you can click here.

Recently districts found they were not able to access the Student Roadmap from GradeBook, SpecialServices or StudentInformation/DASL without first accessing DataMap.  This has been corrected.  Everyone in your district should be able to use the Student Roadmap link from all of the ProgressBook applications without having to go into DataMap first.  Please contact NEOnet if find anyone in your district is still experiencing this issue.

DataMap now identifies EL and 504 Plan students on the Student Search, Student Roadmap, Assessment Search and Multiple Measures page!  Along with the addition of these columns the ability to filter by EL and 504 Plan has been added to the searches as well!  This is very exciting for DataMap districts as this is feature that many have been looking forward to.

Many of our DataMap districts are very interested in the sample Intervention Templates that are currently available.  We are in the process of copying the following Intervention templates to all of our DataMap districts:

  • Attendance – Habitual Sample

  • IAT – Sample

  • General Intervention – Sample

  • RIMP – Sample 1

  • RIMP – Sample 2

  • RIMP – Sample 3

  • WAP – Sample 1

  • WEP – Sample 1

  • WEP – Sample 2

  • WEP – Sample 3

We will notify you as soon as the sample templates are available.  These templates are yours to modify, copy, and/or delete as needed to fit your district’s needs.  Please contact NEOnet if you have any questions or need any assistance creating an Intervention Template.  If you have an Intervention Template you would like to share with our NEOnet districts, please contact Janet Hayes at Hayes[at]NEOnet[dot]org or ext 601112.

To learn more about DataMap and all it has to offer, please contact Janet Hayes at Hayes[at]NEOnet[dot]org or ext 601112.  We are more than happy to offer DataMap Demos to districts interested in DataMap and professional development/training regarding how to utilize DataMap, load assessment data, create and add students to Interventions and review the Student Learning Objective process.

ProgressBook GradeBook Update

Class Notifications

If your district has this feature turned on… From the Class Dashboard, you can send emails to students, parents, or students and parents who have registered an email address in ParentAccess.

  1. On the Class Dashboard, under Classroom Administration, click Class Notifications.

Note: If you have not entered an email address in GradeBook, or if you set up an email address that is not a district supplied email address, a warning message displays and instructs you to enter or update your email address.

2. On the Class Notifications screen, in the Message intended for drop-down list, select Students, Parents, or Students and Parents.

Note: A student’s name only appears in the Select Message Recipients field if the student or the student’s parent have entered an email address in ParentAccess.

3. In the Select Message Recipients field, select the student(s) for whom you want to send an email, and then click .

The name(s) display in the box on the right side of the screen. Note: On the Class Notifications screen, students display in the order you selected on the Class Roster screen, if applicable. If you hid a student on the Class Roster screen, the Class Notifications screen hides the student. If you want to select all students, click inset_2.jpg. To remove a student, click inset_3.jpg, or to remove all students, click inset_4.jpg.

4. In the Subject field, enter the subject of the email.

5. In the Message field, enter the email message.

Spell check automatically alerts you of spelling errors as you type.

Optional: Use the built-in text editor to format your message as desired.

6. Click Send Email.

The notification message is sent to you, and a bcc (blind carbon copy) is sent to each of the message recipients that you selected.
