DNS and Server Changes
On Friday October 26th 2012 NEOnet will change the IP address of the fiscal server. All financial applications should be point to the hostname of neonet.k12.oh.us. This includes Reflections and ODBC connections for Safari ODBC access. If you have any questions, please contact your building/district technical staff or Chris Zolla at zolla[at]neonet[dot]org.

DASL Update
If you are a district that uses Webxam you can start submitting files to NEOnet of students who need to test. The district is responsible for generating the file amd emailing the file to NEOnet. NEOnet will then upload the file to Webxam. To create your extract file in DASL go to the Management » Import/Export » WebXam Export breadcrumb trail. You can use the Ad-Hoc Selection feature or the Filter Selection feature which looks at the students CTE Program of Concentration filed in on the students FN-Attributes tab.

EMIS Update
Local report card – ODE has announced that Local Report Cards will be released in spreadsheet format by the end of September. They have not announced when the PDF version will be released. ODE will be opening a June supplemental report period that will only include records types that are not used for the Local Report Card. A Newsflash will be sent out listing valid records types for this submission.
The FY12 Processing schedule for the remaining reporting periods will be posted to the ODE site soon along with the FY13 Processing Schedule.

ProgressBook Update
Import Individual Assignment from Assignment Bank: You can save time by importing assignments you created in prior years! Instead of creating a new assignment, you can import one used in previous school years from the Assignment Bank.

  1. On the Class Dashboard, click the Import Assignments link in the lower-right corner of the screen

  2. On the Import Assignment window, verify that the class you want to import an assignment from displays in the Course list
    To search for an assignment(s), use the Type and Phrase fields, and click Search. The assignment(s) match your search criteria will be displayed

  3. Click the icon next to the Type column of the assignment you want to import 
    The assignment is displayed on the Assignment Details screen. Today’s date is the default date for the Date Assigned and Date Due. You can import multiple assignments at one time

  4. Click the icon next to the Date Assigned field to select the assigned date, or type it in the field

  5. Click the icon next to the Date Due field to select a new due date, or type it in the field

  6. Make any necessary changes to the imported the assignment

  7. Click Save

Special Services Update
The EMIS Related Services Report has added optional columns for Goals Addressed, Provider Title, Location of Services, Duration and Frequency. This report is run by building, IEP Start/End Dates and gathers data from the Services form of a student’s Completed IEP. The report results can be exported into an Excel, PDF, or Word file.
