DASL (Student Information) Update
DASL Public Course Requests:
Please note the URL for the Public Course Request module has been changed to this school year. The previous URL of: will no longer work. Make sure the letters sent to your students reflects the correct URL!

The Public Course Requests (PCR) Module in DASL allows students and/or parents to enter course requests on the internet for the 15/16 school year. Requests entered on the public module show immediately in DASL.  As a reminder, both SYI and Student Promotion/Bulk Enrollment must be completed before any requests can be entered. If you are interested in learning more about this module please contact Student Services or sign up for a training listed above.

Student Program Codes:
As mentioned at the December DASL Admin Roundtable the student in context masthead will be changing in the upcoming 14.7 release. The school building, home school, homeroom, counselor, calendar, program code, birthdate, and gender will now automatically appear when the student is in context. These fields will also appear if a user does a print screen out of DASL. Districts may want to look at their buildings program code list before the release is applied to ensure they are comfortable with those student program codes appearing for all users. Program codes can be found at Management > School Administration > Student Codes Administration > Program Codes. Only the CODE will appear not the Name or the Description.

Civil Rights Report:
The software developers are still working on updating the Civil Rights reports (SIS-School-Civil Rights Report) for proper reporting. The student services team suggests waiting for the updates to be applied before running the reports as some parts may not be accurate. The student services team will send out an email when the updates have been applied.

EMIS Update:

ODE has released the  ‘Midyear Student Collection (FY15)(Version1).  This Collection is the start of the 2nd window and is required for all Traditional Districts, JVSDs, ESCs, and State Supported Schools. Source file(s) for GI, FS, FD, FN, FB, GD, GG, GE, FE, FC, FL, GJ, and GQ student record types, labeled with the "S" reporting period. The DN record is also required to be reported in this collection request as well, although there are a limited set of options required. This collection request is for the data for school funding, Federal reporting, and other required ODE reporting.

NEOnet has installed version 2.0 update of the Report Collector.  With this update districts will see changes to Level 1 validation reports.  Level 1 Validation exceptions are listed by record type and exception severity. The validation exception reports can be viewed as an HTML pop-up or downloaded as a CSV file(s).  The Current Enrollment reports are included in the FY15 Student manifest.  The enrollment detail and summary reports are based on all students currently enrolled as of the latest prepare. Use the Generate Review Data link to review reports.

ODE will also be releasing new Level 2 reports in a few weeks after all ITC’s have completed the 2.0 update.  Level 2 reports will be based on the latest submission and will appear by collection request.  Level 2 reports will include Invalid/Valid Cert Reports, CTE Student, Courses and Staff reports.

ProgressBook GradeBook Update

If your role is Gradebook Admin in your district below are a few reminders:

*Please do not create user accounts in GradeBook.  These accounts should always be created in DASL and with the nightly integration will populate GradeBook. For complete steps on how to add a user in DASL and get them over to Gradebook visit our website at

*Be sure to delete/disable GradeBook users with Master access if there have been changes in your district. Users must also be disabled in DASL to stop the account from populating GradeBook.  If you would like a complete list of users in GradeBook by role, please email peters[at]neonet[dot]org
