DASL Update
As of July 1, 2014 you will no longer be able to “whack” no shows in the 2014/15 school year. The DASL team highly recommends whacking student records in 14/15 that have withdrawn in the current 13/14 school year prior to July 1. Once July 1st has passed districts will have to report no shows as enrolled and withdrawn in all EMIS reporting windows. If you have any questions regarding this new change please contact student services at studentservices[at]neonet[dot]org.

Note: The student services team was originally told the DASL “new look” and new discipline would be released to us June/July. Software Answers has already delayed the release to very early August. We still feel you should prepare your users before they leave the 13/14 school year as it will most likely be installed before they return in August. At this time the discipline training dates will remain the same and are available on our website. If you have any questions please contact studentservices[at]neonet[dot]org.

EMIS Update
The FY13 Graduate (G) reporting period re-opened May 16, 2014 and will close Friday, June 13, 2014. Districts only need to resubmit if they have a student who is an error from the district’s last submission.

2013-2014 Graduation Rate Adjustment Form is due by May 30, 2014.
The 2013-2014 Ohio School Report Cards will include both the Four-Year Adjusted Cohort Graduation Rate for the graduating class of 2013 and the Five-Year Adjusted Cohort Graduation Rate for the graduating class of 2012. Both rates will be displayed on the report card and used in accountability calculations.

There are cases in which some schools and districts may still be able to make adjustments to their cohort data. The two basic requirements for submitting Graduation Rate Adjustment form is that during the appropriate EMIS reporting period, a district reports a withdrawal code and reason for a student that keeps the student in the denominator of the graduation rate calculation and after the appropriate EMIS reporting period has closed, the LEA obtains evidence indicating that a different withdrawal code and reason that removes the student from the denominator of the graduation rate calculation should have been reported for the student.

ProgressBook GradeBook Update
