DASL, Gradebook, and Special Services new login
On February 27th, DASL, Gradebook, and Special Services will be updated to the 13.3.1 release. This release allows for a single location to sign in for all three applications. Once signed in, you will be able to use the ‘Quick Launch’ to navigate between the different applications that you have access to without having to sign in an additional time. If your users have saved their username/password on the current login screen, please be aware that the update uses a new login screen and that this will not be automatically populated after the release. Please be prepared to follow your procedure of providing usernames and resetting passwords.

An Overview of the changes includes:

  1. The login page(s) has changed its appearance
  2. When you log in/out of the applications, you are logged in/out of all applications you have access to 3. Use the Quick Launch to navigate between the applications you have access to
  3. There is a timeout of 60 minutes for all applications.

Please share this with all your users.

DASL Update
Districts that are using the Public Course Request (PCR) Module need to remember to check for uncommitted requests. Uncommitted requests are requests that have been entered into the system but have not been approved and are showing a pending status. The Batch Scheduler in DASL will not schedule pending requests. These requests will remain in a pending status. This is one reason why it is very important for students to approve their requests by clicking Submit Requests before exiting the PCR Module. To find out which students have uncommitted request you can either go to the breadcrumb trail of Home » Management » School Administration » Public Administration » Uncommitted Requests or run the R701 report. EMIS Update
EMIS-FY12N – Yearend Supplemental Reporting Period
The Collection Request for the FY12 Yearend Supplemental reporting period has been released with a submission date range of 2/5/2013 - 2/20/2013. The Yearend Supplemental reporting period includes data that does not impact the local report card.

At this time, only Special Education records are collected and available for submission. No districts are required to submit this collection. If a district omitted GE records during the regular yearend period that are now impacting their state funding, the district can add those GE records to the GE records previously submitted and submit the larger set. The count of GE records submitted in the supplemental period should be greater than the number submitted in regular yearend processing. Additional data types will be added in future versions.
