DASL Update 
In the 13.0 release an enhancement was added to the Special Education Screen (SIS-Student-Special Education). The Events and Grad Requirement tabs on the Special Education screen now display the date and time the screen was last modified and the user who modified the values on the screen. The date, time and user will change each time a user adds a new record, deletes or modifies an existing record.

Kathy Heinlen has been hired to fill the vacancy created when Nancy Butts left NEOnet over the summer. Kathy has experience with other Student Information Systems and has been an EMIS coordinator in a previous job. We are excited to have her join our team here at NEOnet. EMIS Update
The State Board of Education voted to delay the release of 2011-2012 Local Report Cards until after their September 10-11 meeting while the Ohio Auditors office investigate accuracy of attendance date reported by local school districts. The delay also will include the Sept. 1 release of the Performance Index rankings for each district, community school and STEM school.

ProgressBook Update
Here are a couple of reminders for your teachers setting up their gradebook for the upcoming school year.
On the Teachers Home Page, have teachers verify that their email is up to date. Under Administration, click on “Update email Address”, after verifying or enter correct email. Click UPDATE
Hide Students in Class Roster
Use the Hide option to prevent students who are no longer in a class from appearing in the class roster. You cannot delete a student from the class roster if the student has assignments, report card grades, period attendance, or comments in your grade book. Once you have hidden a student from the class roster, the name will no longer appear on attendance, assignment, or other screens for that class.

  1. On the Class Dashboard, click the Update Roster link below the list of Students.

  2. On the Class Roster screen, click the check box in the Hide column next to a student.

  3. Click Save.

    At any time, you can return to the Class Roster screen and deselect the Hide option next to a student to display that student on the roster again.

Special Services Update
Sps Special Services Release 13.0 Highlights

  • All Form/Tasks have been converted to Web Forms

  • All textboxes expand if applicable

  • Spell Check has been added for Web Forms

  • The EMIS Related Services Report has the following options added; Duration, Frequency, Goals Addressed, Location of Services, and Provider Title

  • On the Service Page if a students has a disability code of 05 and receive Speech Only Services, then Speech & Language Services will need to be selected from the dropdown box found under the Specially Designed Instruction textbox. This change is to be in compliance with the ODE. All remaining students with other disability codes will have services including Speech selected under Related Services

  • On the Service Page under Transportation as a Related Service, when a user selects the Yes checkbox on the Service Page, a data textbox shows up to enter start and end dates. Start/End Dates will not show up on Print

D3A2 Update
The data for spring 2012 OAA and OGT has been scrubbed and loaded. There are no scheduled workshops for D3A2 but any district wanting a Planning Period or Administrator Presentation please contact Jeanne Steele.
