Purple Purple Purple!- Very soon the DASL/StudentInformation, Gradebook, and DataMap software will change to a purple and gray color scheme! It would be fantastic if you could give your users a heads up on the visual change!

DASL (Student Information) Update

In the upcoming 20.1 version release, the Security and User Account management screens will look different in DASL! If you handle user account management for the ProgressBook Suite you will want to sign up for one of our three upcoming training sessions. August 21st , August 24th or August 28th!

  • New Staff:  Ensure DataMap - General Access has been assigned in StudentInformation/DASL at the District Level so they have access to their students in DataMap
  • Summer Data:  Please verify all of your data is up-to-date for the new school year
    • Please remember we offer the additional service for DataMap as a shared services.  Let NEOnet keep your data up-to-date, so you can focus on everything else!
  • RIMPs: 
    • Verify you have closed your RIMPs from the 2019-2020 school year.  This will need to be done prior to creating RIMPs for students in the 2020-2021 school year.
      • DataMap > Menu > Interventions > RIMPS
      • Change Year* to 2019-2020 > Click Find
      • Status should be Closed.  If not, select all students > click Close RIMP
        • Enter End Date
        • Click   I am sure I want to close this RIMP
        • Click   Confirm
          • If you receive a yellow warning message “One or more of the selected RIMP already contains an end date: if you click Confirm, you will override the data.”
          • This is only a warning message indicating an end date has manually been entered on the RIMP (this does not close the RIMP).
          • Please continue with Confirm to Close the RIMP
          • Once the RIMP is closed for 2019-2020 the teachers will no longer be able to update/modify the 2019-2020 student RIMP only view the information.
    • RIMP Codes are school year specific
      • The new school year will not be available until the 20.1 (purple) release has been applied.
      • Once you see purple, update the RIMP codes to be used for the 2020-2021 school year
      • DataMap > Menu > Admin > Manage RIMP Codes



  • As of the last release, Notifications can now be set up to notify teachers/administrators when an assessment is loaded.  If you are interested, please contact NEOnet and we will help you set this up.
  • Few items to note in the next release:
    • You will see the color changes from Blue to Purple
    • The new school years for selecting the RIMP programs and the new approved list of RIMP assessment Vendors will be available
    • A few new graphs will be available!
  • DataMap training. 

Please contact studentservices[at]neonet[dot]org if you are interested in training/professional development for DataMap.  The trainings will be conducted online.  Trainings may be scheduled for starting the RIMP process this school year or if you would prefer refresher training for all or certain pieces of DataMap.  The trainings are customized to fit your needs.

New EMIS Coordinator Training

The Ohio Department of Education is hosting virtual New EMIS Coordinator Trainings for EMIS Coordinators with three or fewer years of experience.  For dates and registration log in to your OH|ID.


The new Seating Chart screen now supports daily and period attendance. When creating a new seating chart or editing preferences, you can now select the Attendance checkboxes for daily and period attendance. 

Depending on the checkboxes you select during creation, you can select Daily Attendance, Period Attendance, and Display on the top right of a seating chart. You can add multiple charts for each class.

When you select Daily Attendance or Period Attendance, you can select the desired attendance code from the drop-down list available on each desk.

Special Services
When creating a New Document you must enter a Due Date. The Due Date is the Date the document will be due after completed. The document will be open until completed and the date be reflected in the overdue widget.




The Due Date is the date the document will expire

Examples: Kate had a RIEP created on 8/13/20 for a meeting on 8/15/20. The document will be due or expire 364 days after the meeting. The due date is 8/14/2021

Example: Progress Report is created for Kate. The Progress Report will only be for one reporting period. The PR was Created on 8/13/20 and will be due on 10/31/20 after quarter 1. The due date will be 10/31/20, If the doc is not completed on 11/1/2020 then it will be overdue.
