DASL (Student Information) Update
Do you like putting a face to a name? Districts that want to upload student pictures uploaded to DASL can follow the Picture Policy document located on our website. DASL pictures can also be used in the teacher Gradebook side for seating charts and the library system, Infohio. Below are some friendly reminders about student pictures and DASL.
Is your picture company requesting a spreadsheet of students that need a picture taken?: You can use Management-Import/Export-Photo Export or EZ Query-Reports-SIS Student Search to create that file.

Does your district use Ripcho picture company?: Inform Ripcho that NEOnet can have access to your districts photos in their cloud. In doing so NEOnet will get automatic updates when your pictures are available to download, thus will eliminate you as the middle man.

Not using Ripcho?: Follow the Picture Policy instructions on how to easily ftp the pictures to NEOnet. For best results zip the pictures together before placing on the ftp site.
Or send a copy of your picture cd provided to you from the picture company. NEOnet only takes copies of the cd, as the disk will be shredded and not mailed back.

Do you want pictures taken by the district to be uploaded?: We can upload individual pictures taken by the district, just be sure it is in .jpg format and to label the picture with the students id number. Example 12456.jpg

Be sure to email studenthelp[at]neonet[dot]org to notify us of pictures placed on the ftp, special requests to upload pictures, or any general questions you have about student pictures.

3rd Grade Reading Collections for FY15 are now available for submitting OAA Scores

***FY15 OAA Summer 3rd Grade Reading Assessment (A) Collection  Closing Oct. 2, 2015
    FY15 OAA Spring and Fall 3rd Grade Reading Assessment (A) Collection  – Closing Nov. 24th

 ** FY16 Student Cross Reference (S) Collection Request –

  • Continuing students must be submitted to the SCR within 30 days of the start of school

  • Student changes –admissions and withdrawals –must be submitted to the SCR within 30 days (t/o school year)

  • District is funded for every day enrolled, provided the student’s enrollment is reported to SCR within 30 days

  • Funding begins on first day student is enrolled and school is in session (back 30 days)

    ***Retention Reporting All Grade (FY16)- This collection is the only opportunity to report the Retained Status for all students in grades KG through 23 – Closing Oct. 9, 2015

TGRG Data Reminders
Now that the S Retention Collection is open and Assessment collections have begun, ODE is starting to look at the TGRG data for the report card. Districts should be sure to report Retention Status, RIMP Intervention Program Codes, and Diagnostic Assessment Results accurately.

  • Students not meeting the required promotion score on the OAA 3rd Grade Reading standard assessment are expected to be reported with a Retention Status other than *.
  • For EMIS reporting, only report results from each student’s initial diagnostic assessment for the school year regardless of whether students participated in additional diagnostic assessments later in the school year.
  • If a district chose to use the KRA, only the fall KRA raw scores are used to identify student’s on-track/not on-track in reading. KRA scaled scores returned in the summer do not change students’ on-track/not on-track status. 
  • OAA results are not used to update on-track/not on-track status for Reading Diagnostic Result reporting, even if the OAA results led the district to put a student with an on-track diagnostic result on a Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plan (RIMP).
  • Students scoring not on-track on the Reading Diagnostic Assessment are required to be on a written RIMP. Report the student’s RIMP Intervention Program Codes.

RIMP Intervention Program Codes are only reported for students on written RIMPs. This may include students who were on-track on the reading diagnostic, and were later – still in the first half of the school year – identified as having trouble reading.

ProgressBook GradeBook Update 

As the reporting period comes to an end, completing the below steps may resolve some issues with report card marks not saving to DASL when entered on the report card entry page in GradeBook. 

  • Marking Pattern Rules in DASL MUST BE RESAVED 

    • Home>Management>School Administration>Marks Administration Menu>Marking Patterns>

    • Click on the pencil, Click SAVE


This will update overnight OR for immediate results, on the ProgressBook Admin Home Page, Tools, Import Marking Patterns – select building and Import Changes.


Special Services Update

The new District Banks allows the district to push banks out to the users by building or district for any IEP, ETR, or Service Plan Task.  Some of the districts are using the district banks to add statements for Prior Written Notice, Disability Descriptions and templates for the Child Profile page of the IEP.  The User Banks are accessed from the individual forms within in the IEP, ETR or Service Plan.   I have another training/work session setup for both Users and District Admins to train on the banks.
