DASL (Student Information) Update

The soon to be 14.6 release will include new enhancements to EZ Query SIS Student Search and to the Student Profile Bulk Update.

In EZ Query you will now be able to use “Filter Criteria” and “Field Selection” by reporting calendar. These can be found under the EMIS subtab. Also, on the Shared Student DASL (JVS/Home) screen, when you select ““EMIS - FD” in the Choose data to review drop-down list, the student’s Reporting Calendar and Attendance Pattern for each school now display in the grid.

With the new EMIS changes to the calendars, you now have the option to profile bulk update the attendance calendar for the general tab on a student’s profile page. Previously, this was done individually. On the Student record tab of the Student Profile Bulk Update screen, a new Attendance Calendar drop-down list and a new Admission History Effective Start Date field are added for you to update the attendance calendar and calendar change date.

EMIS Update:

EMIS updates in the soon to be DASL 14.6 release include:

  • Student Verification (UNCLEMIS)- New checks for Calendar and Attendance Pattern

  • New Special Ed Outcomes for Date Type PSTC-Preschool Transition Conference Date

            - PSPD – Parental Delay of subsequent required activities required and PSNR-Parental Delay not requested.

  • Student Profile Bulk Update for Count Week Transportation Days for Community Schools.

  • Dual Credit Updates for period G – GC

  • EZ Query updates – EMIS Demographics added FD Attendance Calendar and Attendance Pattern

Current Processing & Scheduled to open:

  • FY14 Graduate (closes November 14, 2014)

  • Student Cross Reference (ongoing) - Updated student admission and withdrawal data must be submitted within 30 days of the change in student status (ORC 3317.034(D). No public school may enroll or withdraw a student from the education management information system established under section 3310.0714 of the Revised Code later than thirty days after the student’s actual enrollment or withdrawal from the school.)

  • Community School Enrollment (SOES) (ongoing)

  • FY14 Yearend Planned Supplemental  – special education & career tech

  • FY15 Calendar – initial calendar window to reopen. Districts need to make sure their calendars have been updated.

  • FY13N Supplemental - Verify that the data entered on the FN records for the Reading Diagnostic is correct for all students in KG, 1st grade, and 2nd grade in the 2012-2013 school year

  • FY14N K-3 Supplemental - Verify that the data entered on the FN records for the Reading Diagnostic is correct for all students in KG, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade in the 2013-2014 school year, including all FN and GQ RIMP records must be submitted

  • ODDEX – Roles can be set in OEDS by your administrator. Watch newsflash for release of software including URL and description of available roles.
  • Data Collector Updates- highlighted by interactive Level 1 and Level 2 reports.
  • K-3 Literacy and Retention – use SDC to verify data that is reported. Supplemental reporting windows will be opened for 12-13 and 13-14 to correct what was previously submitted.

ProgressBook GradeBook Update 

You can save time by importing assignments you created in prior years! Instead of creating a new assignment, you can import one used in previous school years from the Assignment Bank.

  1. On the Class Dashboard, click the Import Assignments link in the lower-right corner of the screen

  2. On the Import Assignment window, verify that the class you want to import an assignment from displays in the Course list.

  3. To search for an assignment(s), use the Type and Phrase fields, and click Search. The assignment(s) match your search criteria will be displayed.

  4. Click the Download Icon.

  5. The assignment is displayed on the Assignment Details screen. Today’s date is the default date for the Date Assigned and Date Due. 

  6. Click the calendar icon next to the Date Due field to select a new due date, or type it in the field

  7. Make any necessary changes to the assignment.

  8. Click Save.

Special Services Update

Third Grade Reading Guarantee Report

NEOnet has developed a report to track the Third Grade Reading Guarantee from the Testing Page in a report.  The users must enter a statement under the Reading Area, and preface their statement with either a Yes, or No as shown below.  If your district would like to track these statements, please contact Student Services to install the report called Accommodations – TGRG.

Coming Soon!  Special Services Release 14.6.0

The next 14.6.0 software release for Special Services will bring some new items that users have been waiting for.  Below are some of the changes:

  1. The users will have the ability to add a draft “Watermark” on an individual form or entire task

  2. The users will have the ability to remove page numbering on an individual form or entire task

  3. There will be a new Summary of Performance Task

  4. The Disability Condition “Cognitive Disability” will be renamed to “Intellectual Disability”

  5. There will be new Outcome ids for Preschool ids for Preschool Transition Conferences.

  6. Student Properties will be updated to include a student’s birth date and school id number.
