NEOnet is finally rolling out our new Cherwell helpdesk starting the week of October 20th. That week the new system will begin to be used by the NEOnet staff and our end users when creating new tickets. During the initial transition period, both ticketing systems will be available for use. Starting November 1st all new tickets entered by our customers will be done through the new Cherwell ticketing system. Access to the old ticket system will still be available, but creating a new ticket in the CA Unicenter system will not be an available option after November 1st. The new system boasts some great new features like opening and responding to tickets via email, as well as web based portal and mobile application access. We will be sending out more information via email detailing the rollout of the application, upcoming training webinars and access to some online resources for training our end users. One Call Now Notifications
Are you interested in receiving alert notifications if a NEOnet service is down? NEOnet is now using One Call Now to alert users via phone call or text message if one of our services is down for an extended period of time. While this new communication tool is a step towards increased communication with our customers, please note we will continue our current process of emailing the appropriate user distribution groups as well. That document will walk you through the self-subscribe process on one call now and let you choose the appropriate ways for NEOnet to contact in the event of an emergency.
