Five-Year Forecast Reminder

The Five-Year Forecast reporting period is open now through November 30th. If you would like NEOnet to submit your forecast and notes on your behalf, please email us at fiscalhelp[at]neonet[dot]org.

W2 and 1099 Printing/Reporting

As in years past, NEOnet will print all W2s, regardless of whether you are using eFinancePLUS, Classic State Software or State Software Redesign. We will also submit W2s and 1099s to the Social Security Administration, IRS, State of Ohio and RITA/CCA on behalf of all State Software districts. Those who are using eFinancePLUS will need to submit their W2s and 1099s directly with the proper reporting agencies.

Any districts who have gone live on eFinancePLUS since January 1, 2019, will need to obtain an account from SSA and the IRS in order to file the forms. We will go over W2 and file generation at our upcoming Calendar Year End meetings (see dates in article below).

We have also been informed that the Ohio Department of Taxation has announced a new W-2 upload feature coming soon to Ohio Business Gateway (OBG).  As more information becomes available on this new feature, we will send out more information.

If you have not already sent us your PO for the printing of your forms, please send to johnson[at]neonet[dot]org.

New W-4 Forms for 2020

You may have heard that the IRS has revamped the W-4 for 2020.  All employers will be required to have any new employees fill out the new form as of 1/1/2020. Existing employees will have the option of filling out a new form or keeping their current form on file. If a change needs to be made for an existing employee, they will be required to fill out the new form as well.

Both SSDT and PowerSchool are in the process of making software changes to accommodate the new form requirements in time for the first pay in January.

More information on this new form, along with a copy of the draft form, can be found at https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/faqs-on-the-draft-2020-form-w-4 and https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/fw4--dft.pdf
