DASL (Student Information) Update
Students who need to retake the OST End of Course Exams should be included in the EOC Pre-Id file. Before running the Pre-Id export, you’ll need to create an ad-hoc membership group for each subject area of the OST. There are a couple ways to find students who have received a low Performance Level on a previous attempt and possibly may need to retake.

  • At My Account-Ad Hoc Memberships, after you click Add New Ad-Hoc Membership an Assessment Info tab will appear. When using the Assessment Info tab, you can enter a date range to search for students who have specific Performance Level(s) on a particular assessment area as displayed in the screenshot above. Using the date range you can search for the current year only, or you can enter the earliest possible date students may have tested through the current date to select students that may have tested in previous years as well as the current year. You can select one Performance Level or multiple Performance Levels.

  • At Local-Analytics Hub- Eligibility Folder there are several reports that will highlight low performance scores. The Grad Point Assessment Remediation includes a default filter scores below 3. The End of Course Evaluations highlights students scores below a 2 with a shade of red. Lastly, the End of Course Performance Detail exports into an Excel friendly report where you can do your own post filtering on scores.

The ability to have Report Card Marks included on the Student Roadmap has been a huge enhancement request from numerous districts.  We are so excited!! This is now possible by using a combination of the Multiple Measures page and creating a District Assessment!!  School districts can now easily pull in current and past Report Card marks to create a Data Point in DataMap, which then is displayed on the Student Roadmap, Data Point Assessment and Multiple Measures!!

Having the historical Report Card data on the Student Roadmap allows districts to not only using the Report Card Marks to view an individual student’s growth, but also allows district to have the historical analytical view of comparing the State Assessment results, with 3rd Party Assessment results (MAP, STAR, etc.) with the student’s Report Card Marks, bringing all the data together in one place.

District Assessments are also used by many districts to pull Reading Levels / F&P /DRA Levels from GradeBook to DataMap, either from a GradeBook Assignment or from the GradeBook Report Card.  Several trainings/workshops are scheduled in the months of December and January to train on how to pull in your Report Card Marks to DataMap.  We will also be available to demonstrate how to pull Reading Level data as well. Bring the data you would like to have in DataMap and let us show you how it can be done.  Please register for the upcoming trainings/workshops at  We look forward to seeing you there!

EMIS Update:

  •  Courses continue to be loaded into ODDEX.  The courses from the initial load are close to the 45 day timeline for approving or flagging.  The deductions for districts will happen in January #2 or February #1 payments.
  • Tuition students – First window is now open.   Make sure that the students educating/receiving are correct and approved or flagged.
  • Gifted records – make sure all students have at least a blank gifted record.  Also, consult with your Gifted Coordinator for FB records that will need reported.  Gifted information will start to be collected in the Mid-Year Collection.
