Do you need a holiday themed lesson to address the standards in your classroom? The media services team found a cool opportunity through video distrance learning offered by Muskingham Valley Educational Service Center. The interactive video conference…Spending Time with Mrs. Claus will address those needs and keep your students talking for days to come. Students will interact with Mrs. Claus to complete a variety of problem solving tasks in a fun way. Technology Integration Services Update

The Technology Integration Team has expanded this month with the hire of Amanda O’Mara as a second tech integration specialist who will be working with JC Williams to provide professional development and trainings. Amanda comes to NEOnet from Cleveland Metro Schools as a preK-8 certified media specialist, with Masters degrees in School Librarianship and Instructional Technology. With the addition of Amanda to the team, we are going to be working to provide more resources on the NEOnet training website, including tech blog posts, quick tip training videos, webinars, and more.

The Tech Integration group met on November 20th, 2017 to review statistics and feedback for the fall semester’s offerings and plan new offerings for the upcoming semester. Google trainings continue to be the most popular offering overall, with Virtual Field Trips and Digital Citizenship trainings not far behind, of the 20 unique sessions offered during the fall semester. The Tech Integration group also welcomed Cuyahoga Falls City Schools and Summit County ESC to the Technology Integration Services group.

Planning for the NEOTech conference on Thursday March 22nd, 2018 at Kent State University is officially underway! The planning committee is looking for volunteers to assist with planning and running the conference, please reach out to JC or Amanda (williams[at]neonet[dot]org/ omara[at]neonet[dot]org) if you are interested in helping out.
