DASL (Student Information) Update
In the upcoming 16.2 release a new special needs icon will replace the current disability icon. The new icon is the universal icon for Special Needs and will be uniform across the ProgressBook Suite. For districts that use the Disability Alert (SIS-Student-Disability Alert) you may want to prepare your users for the new look.

                                   Current Icon:

Along with adding the icon, the application will also adding middle name to the search results. This will help verify you are working on the correct student if multiples of the same name exist in your building or district.

If you have any questions on these new features, please contact studenthelp[at]neonet[dot]org.

EMIS Update:
Federal Child Count

Federal Child Count Reports are currently being copied out to the NEOnet District Directories page.  ODE is working on creating these reports as a Level 2 report but this is not expected to happen until the next “S” collection window is open in January, for both traditional and SOES. The Federal Child count snapshot date was October, but the data is not due to USDOE until March so the data will continue with the next “S’ collection window.
