DASL (Student Information) Update
In the recent 15.1.6 release the defect with the Admission/Withdrawals (AWEX) report not filtering correctly was resolved. The report now filters the results based on the parameters you selected on the Selection Criteria screen. Should you have any additional issues with the AWEX report please tell us at studenthelp[at]neonet[dot]org

View latest report card option: In the 15.0 release a new dropdown was included in the “I want to…” With the correct permission you can now have “I want to…View latest report card” This will show a student’s most recent report card if your building sent report cards to the vault.

To gain access to this dropdown you must have an Extra System Permission. You can find this under Management>Security>View Roles, look up a role and click edit sitemap access.

EMIS Update:

FY15 Assessment Reporting for DASL districts:

With the recent 15.1.6 and 15.2 releases your districts should be actively loading data for FY15 (A) assessment collections. If you are experiencing issues with importing the data please contact studenthelp[at]neonet[dot]org. NOTE: For the PARCC End of Course Exams please be sure to verify the errors tab on Assessment Import Management screen. Students with a record type of 3 will not import as they have no test scores, however ODE is expecting a test record on these students. You will need to manually add this record with a reason of “test not taken”.  You can use the file from the testing company to assit with manually entering the test record.

Also, please remember after importing all the scores into DASL, the testing accommodations still need manually entered on the students test records for all tests except those administered by PARCC. (The PARCC file loaded into DASL with the accomodations, however it is suggested you still verify that data is correct.)

SDC Now Open- Districts are encouraged to look closely at their data.

The data included at this time pertains primarily to graduation and K-3 Literacy. An issue was found for K-3 with duplicate records showing as errors – these were to be corrected the week of 11/23/15. The system was loading both Fall & Spring tests and system was looking at the 2 records as duplicates. Summer 3rd Grade Reading Dates causing errors – June vs. July

Prep For Success data is scheduled to be loaded soon to the SDC soon.

Reminder the new Data Review and Appeal Windows Open-  districts will be able to alert the department to substantive reporting errors not corrected during the appropriate reporting windows and request an opportunity to correct those errors during several data appeals windows. Districts may submit data appeals related to Teacher Roster Verification, K-3 Literacy, Third Grade Reading Guarantee, Graduation Rate, Prepared for Success and other critical report card data. View more information about the data appeals windows, timelines and completion process on the department’s website here.

As major reporting windows close, districts will be asked to complete EMIS Data Review and Verification forms (formerly known as EMIS sign-offs). More information about timelines and process are available on the department’s website here.

ProgressBook GradeBook Update

As the quantity of assignments increases for the reporting period, there are display settings for the Grade Book Grid that will allow the most recent assignments to be listed on the first page.  These preferences are in a pink box at the bottom of the Grade Book Grid page.  Once selected, be sure to Save Preferences and Refresh Page.

Special Services Update

When starting a new task in Special Services, it is important to look at Student Properties first to verify and/or set the contact information.  By default the student’s primary contact from DASL (flagged with a gold start) moves over to Student Properties and the Cover Page of any task as the Parent Contact.  The second contact contains the remaining contacts from DASL and can be used as the second contact. The second contact must be selected in Student Properties.    If making any changes to Student Properties, please remember to Save Properties.
