DASL (Student Information) Update
As the school year wraps up and seniors begin their graduation ceremonies, we wanted to remind you of a few transcript options that became available last year and tips to make the process easy!

Ohio Means Jobs Readiness Seal- In order to print a transcript from DASL with the Readiness Seal placed in the lower corner, users must choose the transcript format that begins with Readiness_.  To easily run the group of students who need the seal, first add the students to the 510001 Membership/EMIS Program code, then pull that membership over on the R702 transcript screen.

Ohio Seal of Biliteracy- In order to print the required transcript wording when a student is awarded the Ohio Seal of Biliteracy you must first define the languages he/she is proficient in.  The field is called Proficient Foreign Languages and is located on the students FN-Graduate tab. Then you can use your traditional transcript layout found on the R702 screen and the wording will automatically print for each appropriate student. You no longer have to type the required language in the Common Text box. Note: the Biliteracy Seal is not required by law to appear on your transcript, however if your district would like the seal to appear you must contact studenthelp[at]neonet[dot]org to create an additional transcript format. To easily run the group of students who need this seal, first add the students to the appropriate Membership/EMIS Program code for the language they are proficient in, then pull that membership over on the R702 transcript screen.

Alternative Pathway- If a district wants information displayed on transcripts for a student who is graduating via an optional pathway, users must type a message in the Common Text for Transcripts box. To easily run the group of students who need the custom message, first add the students to the 52xxxx Membership/EMIS Program code, then pull that membership over on the R702 transcript screen.

Import Scores! As the 2018-2019 school year comes to an end, please remember to keep your test data up-to-date.  OST, ACT and OTELA results load first in StudentInformation/DASL then navigate to DataMap to load the data in DataMap.

  • OELPA (Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment)- Monday, May 13th, results available to download
  • OST (End of Course and Next Gen)- Monday, June  3rd, results available to download
  • ACT/SAT- Reload your data!
  • 3rd Party Assessments- Now is a great time to load your Spring Results
    • AIMSweb
    • MAP
    • STAR
    • Etc.

Closing Procedures
Districts that used the new RIMP process, will need to close all your RIMPs after the close of the school year.  This will allow staff to only view the RIMPs and be prepared for the start of the 2019-2020 school year.  To close your RIMPs:

  • Click the Menu Icon
  • Click Interventions
  • Click RIMPs
  • Select All Students
  • Click Close RIMP
    • You may enter a future date to close your RIMPs.

Please remember to close after all the data has been entered for all RIMPs.  Closing a RIMP cannot be undone, even by the DataMap-Intervention Admin.  After closing the RIMPs, all RIMPs will be view only for all staff members without the ability to edit or delete.

Also, if your district closes Student Intervention at the End of the School Year, this may be accomplished in the Intervention Search section, selecting status of Active:

  • Select the student(s) whose intervention(s) you wish to close
  • Click Exit Intervention
