DASL (Student Information) Update
Webxam:

Friday, April 10, 2015 is the deadline for submitting Webxam student data files to NEOnet. To create the files go to Management-Import/Export-Webxam Export.  If you have questions about uploads, please contact studenthelp[at]neonet[dot]org .

After April 10, students can still be added manually by logging on to WebXam, clicking the Secondary Students menu item followed by the New menu item, and filling out the form.

Students Eligible for a Refund Report- now shows Fee Amount/ Fee Balance

In 14.7 the Student with Underfunded Payments report was changed to SIS – Fees – Fee Reports – Students Eligible for a Refund.  This Report now only lists students with a credit balance (students with a $0 balance no longer display). Also, a field called ‘Fee Balance’ was added to the report to help identify the un-refunded balance.

An un-refunded fee is generated in any of the following circumstances:

 • A student pays an assessed fee and then drops the course for which the fee was assessed.

• A miscellaneous credit is issued.

• An overpayment of a fee has occurred.

These scenarios result in a credit balance. The building can choose to either refund the money or apply the amount to another fee for the selected student.

EMIS Update:

Deadlines:

First Staff and Course Collection (FY15) – Extended to April 17, 2015

Calendar Collection – Initial (FY15) – Extended to April 10, 2015

With latest update to EMIS calendar and exception days we wanted to provide step by step directions for updating sub-calendars with delay and/or early release. Please note this is for buildings that include AM and PM calendars ONLY.

2 Hour Delay Instructions:

1.  Master Calendar should not have an EMIS exception added to that date.

2.  Update all full day sub-calendars to include Day Type “School Day” and an EMIS exception type “Unplanned Shortened Day” reflecting total hours of instruction for that day.

3. Update your AM sub-calendar to reflect the same values as your full day sub-calendar (see step 2)

4. Leave your PM sub-calendar calendar blank with no EMIS exception. This PM calendar will reflect a full day for the PM half day students.

Early Release Instructions:

1.  Master Calendar should not have an EMIS exception on that calendar date.

2.  Update all full day sub-calendars to include Day Type “School Day” and an EMIS exception type “Unplanned Shortened Day”  reflecting total hours of instruction for that day.

3. Update your PM sub-calendar to reflect the same as your full day sub-calendar (see step 2)
*OR if your PM students do not attend at all due to the Early Release, the Day Type should equal Vacation Day and EMIS Exception should be Planned Full Day 0.00 hours.

4. Leave your AM calendar blank with no EMIS exception. This AM calendar will reflect a full day for the AM half day students.

If you have any questions please contact or emishelp[at]neonet[dot]org OR  studenthelp[at]neonet[dot]org.

ProgressBook GradeBook Update

In districts that have Class Notifications enabled for teachers, these notifications are now available for grouped classes.  The teachers will automatically receive the same email with the students and parents in the BCC area.  This feature has been enhanced with text editing and spell check for the body of the email.  Class notifications can be found on the class dashboard under Classroom Administration.
