DASL (Student Information) Update

Students without lunch

Just a reminder each student can have lunch indicated on their schedules so that when the student is out of the building or tardy over their lunch period, their time allotted for lunch is excluded from the HB410 attendance calculation. When 2nd semester begins, there is often an influx of new students registering in a district or schedule changes occurring, so having a lunch in DASL may be overlooked. Now may be a good time to run the Students without Lunch report to correct these students. If you navigate to Local-Analytics Hub-Scheduling folder-Students without Lunch report. It is suggested you run each building separately so that you may select the correct term the building offers lunch.

DataMap Update
Data reminders
3rd Grade Fall results became available to download on December 3rd.  Once the data is loaded in StudentInformation you will need to navigate to DataMap to pull the results from StudentInformation.  Fall EOC results will be available Tuesday, February 18th.  Again, once the data is loaded in StudentInformation you will need to navigate to DataMap Admin > Import Assessment Scores to also load the scores in DataMap.  To load the Fall EOC results select OST > 2019-2020  > Fall testing period.

Quick tip:
Did you know you can create an Ad Hoc membership for students in clubs or sports in StudentInformation which would allow the ability to monitor the progress of the students on the Multiple Measures and Graduation Points pages in DataMap.

To learn more about DataMap and all it has to offer, please contact NEOnet at StudentServices[at]NEOnet[dot]org   We are more than happy to offer professional development regarding how to utilize DataMap, load assessment data, create and add students to Interventions or review the Student Learning Objective process.

-Initial FY20 closes January 31, 2020

Virtual Classroom
VirtualClassroom & DataMap connection.

VirtualClassroom has the feature to create a District Assessment.  Creating a District Assessment allows administrator with teachers to create a Common Assessment.  The assessment is administered by teachers to their students through ParentAccess.  The District Assessment results may then be loaded in DataMap.  The results of the individual student’s overall mark and accomplishments on each academic standard give administrators and teachers the ability to analyze the data together with their third-party and state assessment data.

Please feel free to contact the student team at NEOnet studentservices[at]neonet[dot]org to learn more about VirtualClassroom!
