Important Note:

The Educational Operating Committee Meeting will be held on Wednesday March 20th beginning at 9:00 AM. The meeting will include updates from our Executive Director, the ProgressBook Suite, EMIS, and Roster Verification! NEOnet will also be sending out the product enhancement voting list often reviewed in this meeting very soon. So be on the look out! The meeting will be held in Room B, or can be viewed via Webinar at  

Immediately following the meeting Final Forms will be in Room B to present their Gateway Student Registration software and how it integrates with ProgressBook Suite. The same webinar link above will be available to listen to Final Forms as well.

DASL (Student Information) Update
Student Email vs. Contacts Email

In the recent 18.8 release you may have noticed the Email field located on the General Tab of the students profile has been re-labeled to Student Email. The intention of this field was always for it to store the students email address, but the label of just ‘Email’ made it confusing whether it should store Student or Contact data. With more and more school districts providing students an email address, along with ParentAccess adding the feature to use GoogleAuth, renaming the field to Student Email helped clarify the field for everyone!

In addition, the View Profile screen has been redesigned to include both the Student Email and one of Primary Contact’s Email. The Primary Contact’s Email will display the gold star contact record with the email labeled primary. If multiple primary email addresses exist, the first one from the student’s contacts list displays on this screen.


Lastly, DASL does have a feature to mass upload student email addresses to that Student Email field. Using a .csv file with the Student Number and Email Address, you can upload at Management-Import/Export-Student Email Import. However, please be cautious if you have email already in the Student Email field, the import will overwrite the data.

Youth View Survey is a Summit Education Initiative administered by many districts.  Youth View Survey helps build stronger staff-student relations.  Creating a District Assessment allows your district to store your Youth View Survey in DataMap.  Including your survey results in DataMap gives your staff the opportunity to not only view test assessment data but to also view the survey data for each individual student or for a group of students. The more data that is available for your staff moves toward student success and the opportunity to know your students better!

Whether your district utilizes Youth View Survey or a different survey, your data can be stored in DataMap.  For more information on how to store you valuable data in DataMap, please contact Janet Hayes at Hayes[at]NEOnet[dot]org or x 601112.

ProgressBook GradeBook Update 
There is a new Teacher Only report available to all teachers using the default grading scale (not for Standards Based Classes).  The *Missing Assignments (no grades) not for Standards Based classes can be found at the bottom of the Report Builder reports.  Reports can be found on the teacher home page and class dashboard under Reports – Select a report. 


There is a new Admin Only report available to all Admin/Master. The *Weighted Assignment Types by Teacher (All Staff) can be found at the bottom of the Report Builder reports. This report can be used to view teacher average calculation setup for each course. Reports can be found on the Admin Home Page, under Run a Report – Select a report. 



Special Services Update
The Special Services Release 18.8.0 installed brought a long awaited change to the IEP Progress Report.  The software developers with the input from Intervention Specialist across the state redesigned the Progress Report to be more user friendly and easier to read.

This new report is named Progress Report – Goals/Obj by Date

  • This new form will support Create from Existing (CFE) from old/new IEPs and existing Progress Reports.

  • Has a Date field for Comments and Data Source/Data Points to allow for multiple reporting periods.

  • District and Staff Banks are supported.

  • Data will not be removed if changing from Objectives to Benchmarks and back.
