DASL (Student Information) Update
In the past, districts did not have the ability to remove vocational courses from a student’s schedule in DASL. Now that there is only one reporting period for CLISEMIS/CTRMEMIS, that rule no longer applies. The functionality to remove courses marked with a curriculum code of “V” has been reinstated and is the same as all other course types.

Also, please note that March brings the last two official 16/17 DASL School Year Initialization trainings. If you need to get this completed for your district the avaialble dates are indicated above. Please sign up for a training on our website. We are also available to help with SYI during open labs. When registering for an open lab please add in the comments “16/17 SYI” so we can prepare.  If you have any questions please contact studenthelp[at]neonet[dot]org

EMIS Update:

It is important that your calendars have been updated to include snow days and to please remember to submit your updated calendars to the data collector for submission to ODE. For DASL users you can click here for a reminder on the new screen used to enter snow days for your entire district.

Please remember to continue submitting all EMIS data to ODE in a timely manner.

- Calendar Collection – Final (Fy16)                               - First Staff and Course Collection (Fy16)

- Student Cross Reference                                           - SOES Contact Collection

The 2016L Staff Invalid Cert Course reports and the Federal Child Count reports are now available. These reports are being copied to the NEOnet EMIS reports page as they have in the past.

The Federal Child Count reports are based on students enrolled as of October 31, 2015, and use data submitted through Wednesday, February 17, 2016.

Reports will be sent out twice a week until March 25, 2016.  Following March 25th data processing, the data will be pulled to send to the US Department of Education

FY16 HQT reports have been released and are available through the Data Collector – First Staff and Course Collection (FY16) - Level 2 Validation.  ODE anticipate the reports will be updated twice a week through the end of the collection request. See Newsflash Feb. 25, 2016.

ProgressBook GradeBook Update

Second semester has begun and entering Quarter 3 marks is just around the corner.  Should you have separate report card for Semester 2, you may want to verify the Qtr 3 marks are saving to DASL.  Should the mark disappear and not save on the report card entry screen, please go to DASL, Marking patterns, edit (pencil) the marking pattern rule for Semester 2 and Save.  Go then to GradeBook, Tools, Import marking patterns. This will also apply to buildings that have Quarter 3 report cards for those Quarter 3 only length classes.  If this does not resolve the problem, please contact studenthelp[at]neonet[dot]org.
