EMIS Update:

Per the August 29th Newsflash ODE is no longer requiring districts to report FY17 summer english language arts (ELA) and reading assessment data. ODE will use the highly accurate vendor file provided by AIR in generating district’s data for the 2016 Third Grade Promotion Rate. NOTE: Districts should still review for completeness and accuracy the summer 3rd grade English language arts and reading assessment data vendor files that they received from AIR. If a superintendent has inaccurate data, he or she should submit an appeal by the Sept. 7th

Collections due to close:

  • Staff/course window extended until Tuesday august 31st at 11:59pm

  • Retention window closes Wednesday August 31st

    • Data critical for 3rd grade retention data and LRC.

    • Retention appeal window to open September 1st through September 8th

ProgressBook GradeBook Update

Hide Students in Class Roster is now working!: Use the Hide option to prevent students who are no longer in a class as indicated by the red W from appearing in the class roster. Once you have hidden a student from the class roster, the name will no longer appear on attendance, assignment, or other screens for that class.

1. On the Class Dashboard, click the Update Roster link below the list of Students.

2. On the Class Roster screen, click the check box in the Hide column next to a student.

3. Click Save. At any time, you can return to the Class Roster screen and deselect the Hide option next to a student to display that student on the roster again.

Also, another back to school reminder on the Teachers Home Page, have teachers verify that their email is up to date. Under Administration, click on “Update email Address”, after verifying or enter correct email. Click UPDATE

Special Services Update

Special Services had many new enhancements this year including a new look and new navigation.

                Navigation

  • The new Menu icon (three lines) now replaces the tabs.

Upload Documentation

  • Each form in a task now has a paperclip icon which will allow uploaded documents under the form.  Staff can now choose which form to add attachments and the pages will all print in the correct order.  For example the page with all the signatures can be uploaded under the Signature form.

Copy Task Info

  • There is now the ability to copy information from other tasks.  For example data from an ETR can be copied to an IEP for the same student.

                New Banks & Academic Standards

  • There are 84 new banks which include banks for  504 Plans, Behavior Intervention Plans, Service Plans, Written Education Plans and Progress Reports

When creating banks and adding Academic Standards they now Read Live from the Vendor.  The banks can be searched by Content Area and Grade Level.
