DASL (Student Information) Update
We are excited to announce phase 1 of the ProgressBook Suite notifications has been released. You may have noticed with the last release a new bell icon  in DASL and Gradebook. DASL users can now receive notifications for the following rules depending on their district, building, and individual settings: Custody Alert, Discipline Incident, Discipline Referral, and Medical Alert. The users will need their security role adjusted by adding Resource Permissions for each notification category. In addition, the user will need a staff member account with a job function.

DASL District Administrators can configure all notification rules as Required, Disabled, or Opt-In for the district or each building.  Thus, users may automatically receive, not receive, or choose to subscribe to certain notifications. Whenever a user receives a new notification, displays. After clicking the icon the 15 most recent notification will display.

The student team will be doing a full training at the September roundtables on how to configure Notifications for your district. However, if you would like to start ahead of time, there is a great document under the ? Icon-User Guides-Management-Notifications Guide. In addtion please feel free to contact studenthelp[at]neonet[dot]org

Welcome back to the 2018-2019 school year!

Do your teachers know they can view the results of the OST for their students from the previous school year?

  • This can easily be done in DataMap by switching the “Year in Context” to the previous school year.

  • When you switch the school year, you are viewing the students you taught in that school year.

  • Select the filter information on the Assessment Search.

Sneak Peek at RIMPs!

  • The new process for RIMPs will be coming very soon in DataMap!

    • The new process is separate from the current Intervention process.

    • Districts will be able to select the RIMP program codes that apply to their district.

    • Assign students to multiple RIMP programs.

    • Assign multiple providers to a RIMP.

    • Print multiple RIMPs at one time.

    • Automatic integration of the program codes back to StudentInformation/DASL

  • Trainings for the new RIMP process will be scheduled as soon as it becomes available.

We would like to start scheduling DataMap Roundtable Meetings!!  We would like your input as to whether you would like to have the DataMap Roundtable meeting following another product such as DASL/StudentInformation, SpeicalServices or as a stand-alone meeting.  We would like to be considerate of your time out of the district.  Please send your thoughts to Janet Hayes at Hayes[at]NEOnet[dot]org or ext. 601112

ProgressBook GradeBook Update
Class Groups
In a prior release logic was implemented to add appropriate error messages to the Class Groups screen. Now, in order for classes to be grouped together, the following requirements must be met:

  • All classes must have the same grading periods
  • All classes must use the same assignment types
  • All classes must use the same calculation methods
  • All classes must use the same grading scale method
  • Classes cannot contain duplicate students unless those students are hidden from the class roster

If a user tries to group classes that do not meet the above requirements, all appropriate error messages display when the user clicks Update

Special Services Update

The new ETRs and IEPs now have a School Age version and a Preschool version.

New ETRs have a School Age version for the ETR Evaluation Planning form. In order to get a Preschool version of the Planning form, the user must select the Preschool radio button on the ETR Cover Page and click Save Form. This changes the version of the form.

New IEPs have a School Age version for the LRE Least Restrictive Environment.  In order to get a Preschool version of the LRE Least Restrictive Environment, the user must check Yes to “Is the child in preschool?” and Save Form.  This changes the version of the form.

If your district would like Bethany or Denise to come out to do a training at your district please contact us at marrali[at]neonet[dot]org or ladich[at]neonet[dot]org
