DASL (Student Information) Update
In the 17.1 Release, there has been an update to help prepare districts with the changes that are occurring with House Bill 410 and attendance tracking. This update now includes Start and Stop Times to the Master Calendar and Sub-Calendars. Please note that these need done at each building in your district.

More updates will be added to DASL to meet the HB410 requirements in future releases.

Master Calendar: Management > School Administration > Scheduling Administration > Master Calendar

Sub calendars: Management > School Administration > Scheduling Administration > Sub-Calendars

Pencil each active sub-calendar to add a start and stop date. Save.

DataMap Update:

Now is the time to start loading your Fall assessment (and Summer assessment) data in DataMap.  DataMap has a small change to loading Test Assessment data.  You will need to first select your Source:

  • State

    • OCBA (Ohio State Tests)

  • Third Party

    • AMISWEB

    • AIMSWEB PLUS (Newly supported assessment)

    • MAP (Provider Website option is back!)

    • iReady
    • Star

Additionally if you need to close last year’s Interventions, you can select to close a group of Interventions at one time from the Intervention Search, select the checkbox(es) in-front of the student’s names and select ‘Exit Intervention’.

    EMIS Update:
    Reminder of Data Collections closing:

Financial Collection (FY17) – Closes August 31, 2017. This reporting collection includes school accounting information, capital assets, and other miscellaneous data types.

Retention Reporting All Grades (FY18) - Closes August 31, 2017. This collection is the only opportunity to report the Retained Status for all students in grades KG through 23

Appeal: Student Course Collection (FY17)- Closes September 1, 2017. In a recent review of student course data reported during the FY17 Final Staff/Course (L) Collection that closed on July 14, 2017, the Department identified potential inaccuracies in several districts’ Student Course (GN) Record reporting. Inaccuracies in this data may affect the 2017 Indicators Met measure and the 2017 Achievement Component measure that will be published this fall on the 2017 CTPD Report Cards. See EMIS Newsflash – August 21, 2017

    Current FY18 Collection request:
    Calendar Collection - Initial (FY18) Traditional/Community Schools
Student Cross Reference (FY18) Traditional/Community Schools
SOES Student Contact(s) Collection (FY18) Community Schools
SOES Student Contact(s) Collection (FY18) Community Schools

NOTE: Within the next few weeks ODE will be pulling data for the October payment using FY18 data. Community Schools that have not submitted contact data by that time will not receive a payment.  It is important that the required data is submitted on time.
