DASL (Student Information) Update
In the new DASL release, a hyperlink to student absences was added to the Student Absence Intervention screen. This will allow districts to quickly view a student’s absences if they have any questions or issues with threshold calculations being met. Similarly, if a user is looking at the Student Absences screen there is a link to the Student Absence Intervention screen to view the students current thresholds and truancy activity.

If your district has any questions on this new link or any questions regarding HB410 please contact studenthelp[at]neonet[dot]org

DataMap:
Now is a good time to ensure all of your test assessment data is up to date in DataMap.  Also, a good time to review to make certain you are loading all of your test assessment data.  Maybe your teachers are manually keeping track of reading levels/DRA scores, these score can be easily loaded and stored in DataMap using a District Assessment.  If you have data that you are considering to store in DataMap and are unsure whether it would be possible or how to create a District Assessment, please contact studenthelp[at]neonet[dot]org.

Starting with the 2018-2019 school year, we will start having DataMap Roundtable Meetings!!  We would like your input as to whether you would like to have the DataMap Roundtable meetings following another product such as DASL/StudentInformation, SpeicalServices or as a stand-alone meeting.  We would like to be considerate of your time out of the district.  Please send your thoughts to Janet Hayes at Hayes[at]NEOnet[dot]org or ext 601112

EMIS Update:
The ODE EMIS office release an updated data collection calendar for the remainder of this school year. This calendar update is due to changes to the gap closing measures on the report card.

In order to complete the report card on time, ODE will need to transfer student demographic and assessment data to SAS much earlier in August than in prior years. Any collection used for the SAS calculations must close by Wednesday, July 18.   Appeals will close on Friday, July 27.  District should try to submit appeals early since this is such a short window.

The following collections will now close earlier (July 18 unless noted otherwise) on the revised calendar:

  • Student Cross Reference (FY18) (2018SSCRS)
  • End of Year Student Collection (FY18) (2018S3TRD)
  • SOES End of Year Student Collection (FY18) (2018SBODE)
  • Spring DORP Assessment Collection (FY18) (2018AGDSP) [July 9]
  • Spring End of Course State Assessment Collection (FY18) (2018AGESP)
  • Spring State Assessment Grades 3-8 Collection (FY18) (2018AGNSP)

The following collections will now close later (August 10 unless noted otherwise) on the revised calendar. This will give districts more time to focus on the collections that will be closing sooner.

  • FY18 SOES Student Contact(s) Collection
  • FY18 Calendar Collection - Final
  • FY18 Final Staff and Course Collection (FY18)
  • FY18 Other Accountability Assessments (FY18) [August 15]
  • FY18 Spring Alternate Assessment Collection (FY18)
  • FY18 OELPA Assessment Collection (FY18)
  • FY18 Spring OGT Assessment Collection (FY18)
